Kate Cuthbert Review Date: This is definitely the last book I’ll read by Mari Mancusi as she is great only at spitting out crap. Quite a different spin on the Robin Hood legend I remember with quite a few surprises. Refresh and try again. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Not a book that will change your life by any means but fun. Sep 22, Anna rated it did not like it Shelves: But she ended up in another blood sucking profession –journalism — instead.

Chrissie is supposed to be in her 20s in the 21st century, not her preteens in the s. Read, highlight, and take notes, across web, tablet, and phone.

If Chrissie Hayward knew that morning she’d be going back in time to rescue her crazy coworker Kat, she’d have worn better shoes. They’re cute time travel romances.

Finally, there are two major characterization flaws that dropped this book to a C- for me. Sep 29, Michelle rated it really liked it. I love that there is nothing at all daring about this robin hood and the spunky damsel in distress is perfectly capable of handling all the problems and maybe even giving the fallen merry men a run for their money. Then Chrissie gets a cell phone call from her. When Chrissie meets Robin, he and his z men are hiding out in the forest.

Jul 04, Linda Denison rated it really liked it. Mancusi is excellent at plotting and maintaining tension throughout a tale. Sure, she wasn’t stacked, but still! I really enjoy almost anything Robin Hood but this one had way too many pop culture references that drew away from the story.

My library Help Advanced Book Search. This one the main character fell in love with Robin Hood, helped defeat the Sheriff of Nottingham and lived happily ever after in the 12th century. I love it and it got me hooked on Marianne Mancusi Books. Other books in the series. This is never a plot device that works for me, but I was able to let it go.
